Borgo Decimo (Pordenone), Italy — 18 March 2026 — We are proud to have concluded the BeSoGreat project with our final event at Agribirrificio Borgo Decimo, bringing together companies, experts, and regional stakeholders to exchange perspectives on innovation and sustainability in the plastics processing sector.
As lead partner of BeSoGreat, we would like to sincerely thank all speakers, partners, and participants who contributed to the success of this important closing event. A special thank you goes to Riccardo Zanelli, Chiara Callegari, Marta Rusalen and the whole COMET – Cluster della Metalmeccanica del FVG team for organizing this final event and making it such a valuable occasion for exchange. Participants could follow the event in their mother tongue, thanks to the real-time translation in Italian and German. This made the exchange even more inclusive and valuable for everyone involved.
We also warmly thank Enrico Santinato and Maria Chiara Frijia for opening the event with insightful contributions on current market changes, sustainability, and new materials. Our thanks also go to Stefano Bisogno, Manuela Facchin, and Marco Giunta for explaining the roots of the BeSoGreat project and for showing how brewers’ spent grain can be transformed from a by-product into a material with concrete industrial applications. Finally, thank you to Giovanni Cadamuro for moderating the panel discussion, and to Mariacristina Gherpelli, Cristian Paravano and Michela Conterno for enriching the conversation with their valuable perspectives.
A heartfelt thank you to all project partners for the great collaboration throughout BeSoGreat. We are proud of what we achieved together and of the strong partnerships built along the way. And although this final event marks the conclusion of the project, it is not the end. It is just the beginning of new circular business models based on biocomposites, industrial collaboration, and the shared ambition to turn sustainable innovation into real market opportunities.
