Klagenfurt, October 7, 2025 – The ADMiRE Research Center of Carinthia University of Applied Sciences (CUAS) took part in the Green Tech Innovators Club, held at the Lakeside Spitz in Klagenfurt. The event, organized by Green Tech Valley in cooperation with IV, TU Graz, WKO, and the University of Klagenfurt (AAU), brought together innovators, researchers, and entrepreneurs to exchange ideas on future-oriented technologies and sustainable solutions.
The evening featured a series of inspiring keynote talks on renewable energy, sustainable materials, and digital innovation.
Among the speakers was Sandra Schulnig (ADMiRE Research Center, CUAS), who presented insights on “Bio-based plastics of the future – also for additive manufacturing.” Her presentation showcased the Interreg Italy–Austria project BeSoGreat as a best practice example of how brewers’ spent grain, a by-product of the brewing process, can be transformed into sustainable biocomposite materials for 3D printing and injection molding applications. The project highlights ADMiRE’s contribution to circular economy-driven material innovation and cross-border collaboration.
Other speakers represented PIADENO, TU Graz, Steinbeis PolyVert, University of Klagenfurt, and Consolinno, covering topics such as energy flexibility, the use of wood in mechanical engineering, swarm intelligence, and decentralized energy management.
The Green Tech Innovators Club served as a vibrant networking platform, enabling participants to exchange ideas, identify cooperation opportunities, and strengthen regional partnerships in green technologies and sustainable innovation.
The event was certified as a Green Meeting under the Austrian Ecolabel and emphasized accessibility and eco-friendly mobility for all participants.
