On September 19, 2024, the first Focus Group of the Interreg ITALY-AUSTRIA project BeSoGreat took place at the Polo Tecnologico Alto Adriatico in Pordenone. During this event, Italian partners (COMET, DEROMA, and CROSSING) presented the BSG-BC biocomposite to industry experts and regional stakeholders. This innovative material, developed to repurpose spent brewer’s grains, was examined for its technical and market potential in new product applications. The feedback received was invaluable for advancing sustainable solutions across various sectors, utilizing both injection molding and 3D printing technologies. We extend our gratitude to all participants who enriched the discussion, including entrepreneurs from the plastics and molding industries, research and technology transfer partners, representatives from additive manufacturing companies, as well as potential end-users and resellers of our BSG-BC products.
